At the beginning of the current century water counter producers were searching for an optimized method of producing metal case for the water counters. The cases were cast in press molds by injection-molding machines, were produced by external chill lines etc., but the most advanced method turned out to be forging which is being used by the majority of the water counter producers all over the world. Friedrich Company (Germany) offered Russian participants namely Moscow NPP (Science Practical Company SPC) NPF (Science Production Company SPC) Macrotechsevice-PB to deliver compliant equipment and to organize a joint venture.

The project of company creation joined the list of the most important joint ventures between Russia and Germany. Staff education for the project was financed by German Government Fund Sequa.(www.sequa.de)

OJSC SARDA was registered in 2003.

Metal hot pressing is executed by means of 200 ton and 350 ton presses. All the production equipment is made in Italy. Sarda specialists undergo an in-depth study course in Italy to learn hot pressing technologies. Italian company partners send their experts to Arzamas to provide technical consultations. Auxiliary materials are bought in Germany and Italy.

The presses are equipped with manipulators and have an automatic performance. High-tech equipment and well-qualified educated staff provide issuance of high-quality production. We mastered wide product mix for automobile industry, for water counter devices and sanitaryware items, railway engineering parts and gas fittings. Sarda is not limited to produce a definite set of items; we are prepared to execute any order of brass parts by means of hot pressing.

Since September 2008 Sarda has adopted and adepted international quality standard operation system ISO 9001:2000.
